One of the worst case scenario for your wedding ceremony...

Working with a florist for your Green Wedding

Confirm exactly what flowers you want and don't want for the wedding; some suggestions: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouques, nosegay for the mothers, boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, ushers, and father's centerpieces, entrance (for the reception and ceremony), restroom(s), additional wedding party rooms.
  • Find out if they ever work with organic and/or sustainable growth flowers/farms.
  • Will they tell you who their flower suppliers are; can they source locally
  • Are they willing to pick up and donate leftover flowers to charities for minimum fee
  • Can you use your own vessels (vases/bowls)
  • Ask them not to use the green gardeners foam, as this can not be recycled
  • Let them know you would like to be able to eliminate any unnecessary waste from your arrangements, using floral wire and other devices render the arrangements unable to be composted, so keep things simple.
